The calcium challenge
As kids grow they need plenty of calcium to help keep bones and teeth healthy. Children aged 4 to 10 years need between 450mg and 550mg of calcium per day. Cheese, milk and yogurt are an excellent way of getting calcium into your child’s diet. So for example, a 200ml glass of semi-skimmed milk, a 150ml pot of fruit yogurt and a 20g portion of cheese will provide approximately 570mg of calcium and so will meet your child’s daily calcium requirement.
